Our mission
“The NCHC mission is to help clinicians successfully navigate the path from clinical practice to nonclinical careers by providing the strategy, insight, and guidance needed to translate their experience into meaningful new opportunities.”

Zachary Vandenberg PT, DPT
Director of therapy operations, founder NCHC
Zach has gone through this process of transitioning from clinical care to nonclinical care. The path was ling and winding, but full of amazing experiences that was very rewarding and allowed him to create great memories, grow, and network.
My Professional Journey
My career began in Physical Therapy, where I spent five years working as a Travel Physical Therapist across a variety of healthcare settings. This experience exposed me to diverse patient populations, clinical teams, and operational models, allowing me to quickly adapt, solve problems in fast-paced environments, and develop a deeper understanding of how different healthcare systems function. I later joined a small private practice, where I gained additional perspective on the business and operational side of patient care while continuing to refine my clinical expertise.
As my interests expanded beyond direct patient care, I transitioned into the health technology sector, joining a rehab-focused health-tech startup in a Customer Success role. In this position, I worked closely with providers and organizations to help implement and optimize technology solutions designed to improve clinical workflows and patient outcomes. From there, I moved into a clinical leadership role, first as a Clinic Manager and later being promoted to Director of Therapy Operations, where I oversaw therapy teams, operational performance, and strategic initiatives focused on improving efficiency and care delivery. Today, I draw on this diverse experience across clinical care, technology, and healthcare leadership as an entrepreneur, focused on helping clinicians recognize the broader value of their expertise and navigate new career opportunities beyond traditional clinical paths.
